Quick Escape in the Mangroves

We had a quick escape from the city in the southern part of Cebu. In the municipality of Argao, we went to one of their famous tourist destinations, the Bulasa Mangroves Beach Resort and Restaurant. I was with my boyfriend, Josh, who also enjoys the outdoors. We stayed there for one day. We stayed in one of their air-conditioned rooms, styled like a traditional bahay kubo. It costs 1500 pesos for day use. It’s good for the two of us already. The room is worth its price; it’s spacious, and there’s enough space to accommodate the two of us.

We had fun swimming beneath the gigantic mangroves. The swim was enjoyable. We were in the shade of the mangroves, and the water was cold. Moreover, we had a great time swimming and taking great pictures because it was high tide when we visited. Furthermore, they have a swimming pool that you can also enjoy if you don’t like to swim in the sea. But, for us, we haven’t tried their pool because it was crowded. We spent most of our time in the sea.

They have delicious foods. For lunch, we ate pork humba and pork sinigang. Their portions are plenty for two people to share. I heartily suggest it. I wish to try the other foods on their menu soon.

Bulasa Mangroves Beach Resort and Restaurant is a great place to visit if you’re a nature lover. Come and visit soon.

Wandering Sayao

Sayao is a barangay in the municipality of Sibonga, in the province of Cebu. Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was 1,772. This represented 3.68% of the total population of Sibonga.

When I was in Grade 11, we were tasked by our teacher to have a travelouge. One of the place that we went with my group mates is the mountain resort located in Sayao, Sibonga, Cebu. The place is very peaceful. We we’re there to just roam around, capture pictures and record a video for our project. After, we decided to swim in their swimming pool for it’s like tempting us to swim. We were having fun a lot in there. Our entrance fee were very worth it. We enjoyed the swimming. We loved the view. We were relaxed by the fresh air. The owner of the resort is kind and generous. That experience is unforgettable that I’ll forever treasure.

Me and my team were there to compete for the Radio Broadcasting category. We stayed there for three days and two nights. In the place where we stayed I haven’t enjoyed it a lot for there’s no signal in there. It’s hard to communicate with our parents and friends. Daanbantayan is a peaceful place. There are a lot of beautiful views where you can take pictures. The people there were friendly and generous. They treated us well when we stayed there in their place. They give us the proper care. That was one of the most memorable experience that I will forever treasure and never forget. You should try visiting Daanbantayan and when you do, you’ll never regret going there.

Who I Am

A seventeen year old girl

Problems and challenges she’s ready to conquer

A girl with a lot of fears

And a girl with big dreams

She wanted a life that is private

For she’s afraid of judgment

From people who knows nothing

But to put issues on everything

She loves to travel

With her family and Mae together

Bond with each other

Having quality time together

She wanted to be happy

In this life full of worry

She wanted to make people smile

Even just for a while

A girl who loves to eat

A food that is something sweet

She’s the girl whose name is KATE
